August 2017 - Present

• Lead entire production facility in every day-to-day aspect from orders received and stock ordering to peoples/resource management, technical decisions making and dispatch

• Implemented/Maintained ISO 9001 QMS procedures as well as SABS requirements as specified for certification

• Coordinated multi-disciplinary teams (engineering, design, procurement, HR) through the full project life cycle of manufacturing specialized mobile vehicles (mobile clinic/dentistry/optometry vehicles, office vehicles, IT training vehicles)
• Built and managed BOM's
• Worked closely with other engineers to design innovative technological solutions to typical mobile platform challenges
• Managed project from start to finish, including purchasing of equipment and stock, manufacturing, assembly and project hand over.
• Led a team of skilled artisans in supplying world class quality, project specific, mobile solutions for both the private and public enterprises sector
• Worked alongside production staff on countless jobs to both learn some of the skills used as well as assist in pushing production.

Mechanical Design Engineer at Triz Engineering, Cape Town

July 2013 - February 2015

• Was directly involved in design on the power-train portion of medium-duty trucks for sister company in the USA
• Went to the US for installation and testing of product design on prototype build before implementation on production line (many parts of which are still in use to this day)
• Worked closely with many engineers on CAD design and development of solutions for vehicle harnessing and power-train assembly
• Learnt the importance of BOM management, product naming and design conventions, and communication between multi-level business entities
