About Theresa Nicholas:
To Whom it May Concern,
Behind every business problem is really a human problem, that a little behavioural science can solve. I specialise in creating the behaviour nudges that minimize friction in relationships in your organisation. Taking your employees from 'ho hum' to 'hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work we go'.
I have broad experience as a franchise owner, as a college principal, an educator and a behavioural science consultant.
I am currently employed as the Principal for IIE Rosebank College in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. I consulted on behavioural change interventions for a number of small organisations while I was completing my master’s degree. Furthermore, I have more than 7 years’ experience teaching Business Management at international schools in Malaysia, Poland, and the Netherlands, which made me culturally aware. My partner and I built a franchise with a national footprint in South Africa and ran it successfully for 10 years before selling it to a larger company, and which gave me the experience of managing projects across various sites.
My academic arsenal includes MSc Business and Management; BCom Industrial Psychology degree; post-graduate National Higher Diploma in Adult Education; Six Sigma DMAIC Green belt; Lean Change Agent; Prosci certification; UCT Change Management professional short course certificate; Fundamentals of Agile course and Certified as a Psychometric Test User Occupational - Ability and Personality.
I submitted my preproposal and application for PhD Leadership program at the University of Johannesburg and await their response and appointment of a supervisor.
