Services provided
I am an exceptional young professional adult, who has post-graduation and has displayed a willingness to learn and gain more experience in the field of Tourism, Events and Office Administration. Working for Africa’s Travel Indaba (temporarily as and when staff is required) has enhanced and improved my communication skills, customer service skills, event planning/coordinating and computer literacy skills. This experience has provided insight of Travel and Tourism and the event industry, how it operates along-side with its sectors.
Working for events/exhibitions together with working at office spaces such as the Durban information Office and the art gallery has given her a chance to improve her administration skills, reception, and data/information capturing skills.
Experience
I have worked at the DUT Art gallery as an intern, close with the gallery curator. Planning and coordinating art exhibitions for the students and sometimes even for artists outside the university. As a temporal employee, I worked under IT Event management company where by I would assist in events happening around the Destination Durban, as the company is located in JHB. I would coordinate and help manage those events and exhibitions. As a junior Administrator at the Durban Tourism Office, I did administrative duties as well as planning, coordination and managing events for the community of Durban, usually at the beach front, like the aerobica event.
Education
For tertiary level, I studied Travel and TourIan Management, which had Event management as one of the modules. I then furthered my studies in order to enhance my research and management knowledge and skills.
