I hold a BSc. Honors in Environmental Sciences and PGCE Senior and FET qualifications,

and as of 2022. I have seven years experience in research analysis and environmental

consulting; additionally, I have six years experience in teaching Cambridge International

Examinations (CIE) subjects and have tutored for eight years. I believe my experience and

passion for culture and systematic approach makes me an ideal candidate for consideration.

My experience is extensive and varied, having the privilege to work as a cartographer,

environmental manager, geographer, GIS technician, website designer, and writer. Each

vocation has allowed me to strengthen my logical and systematic nature. Furthermore, they

have given me the opportunity to hone new skills (particularly those regarding information

technology and media), allowing me to become adept at problem-solving.

Specifically, I have experience in collecting data, analyzing data and drafting sustainable

economic development plans (e.g., the Bushbuckridge Master Plan), business and tender

proposals, energy efficiency reports and waste management plans (i.e., at the local and

provincial level). The skills I regularly utilized are those of stakeholder engagement, research,

analysis, and reporting.

- Honours Thesis – “Evaluation of the Developments proposed for Clansthal, KZN…Using A Multicriteria Analysis Tool with Fuzzy Logic”, an Environmental Management Tool to measure sustainable development paths of proposed developments using multivariate analysis and fuzzy logic 

- Wetland Ecology and Management project - Assessed the health, and proposed future management and rehabilitation measures for the Northington wetland in the Hlatikulu Vlei in the Drankensberg 

- Environmental Education project - Developed a music video, regarding the current environmental crisis, as resource material for the Environmental, Geographical and Geological Sciences educational centre at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Westville 

- Applied Geographical Information Systems - Modelled the extent of wave run-up within the eThekwini municipality, based on the extreme wave event the KZN coast experienced in May 2007. The model supported the areas affected in May and the areas that were subsequently affected in June
