Sasha Jooste

My name is Sasha, I am a design graduate currently working as a freelance multi-disciplined designer.

I’m a 24 year old designer from Somerset West. I obtained my BA degree (Cum-Laude) in Fashion Design from Elizabeth Galloway Academy of Fashion Design in 2020. Throughout my studies, we had a large focus on digital design with CAD subjects. This led me to progress more in the graphic design field after studies. Thereafter, I’ve been working on some of my own projects, freelance designing for clients and a few independent work ventures such as au-pairing and working in retail. 

However, I’m looking for a stable work environment that will assist me in growing and learning as a designer with the security and parameters offered by industry. In reciprocation, I can fulfill my briefs and deliver high-quality work in an efficient manner that would benefit my employer.

My most recent projects are varied and include multiple design disciplines such as photo retouching, fashion, photography, art, graphic design and website design.

For example, my most recent on-going project is editing and “revamping” the website for Martin House School in Zambia. Furthermore, retouching photos for clients which include working closely with the photographers and models involved to bring the brand’s image to life.

Other recent projects include taking start-up brand’s ideas from concept to reality. This includes creating moodboards, tech packs, technical drawings, fashion illustrations and aiding production.

My technical competence includes experience working on Adobe Photoshop (8 years), Adobe Illustrator (5 years), Lightroom (2 years), InDesign (4 years), Procreate (2 years), Figma (1 year), Canva (4 years), Wordpress (1 year).
