I have a BSc in Electrical Engineering and Project Management, Trade Tested (Red Seal), NTC 4 and Diploma in Business Management, with over 36years’ experience within the maintenance and construction industry working for large utilities, consultants, and construction companies from 240V to 400KV.

I have extensive managerial skills, as well as customer liaison and administrative experience, with Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.  Working with contractors, sub-contractors, and staff to ensure the timeous completion of major projects, HV, MV and LV electrical and Civils. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans and can converse in Zulu.

I work under continuous pressure, having to meet strict deadlines and I’m expected to use my initiative to ensure that projects/ maintenance is carried out and concluded.  Comprising of Vegetation Management, Live Line, Substation Construction, Refurbishment and Maintenance, MV/ LV line and cable Construction and Maintenance.  Installation of Transformers, Switchgear, Battery Banks (UPS Units), Street Lighting, Electrical installations at Shopping Centre’s and Repairs and Maintenance.  Contract Maintenance at offices. Ensuring projects are completed within budget. Working with people on all levels daily.

During my working career I have gained much experience in the electrical field, some of those duties were doing auditing of projects, Clerk of Works/ Site Agent, Tenders, safety files, managing a fleet of vehicles, budgets, insurance claim, stores/stock control, purchasing, accounts on job evaluation of staff, chairman of non-statutory safety meetings and ensuring that all regulations standards and procedures were adhered to.  I am reliable, hardworking, dedicated and an excellent team worker. 

Throughout my years I have trained staff from Apprentice Electricians to Depot Managers.

I am a certified Coach, Mentor, and Instructor.  Courses in, Handling Differences in Learns, Mentoring Relationship and Leadership, Technical Coaching, Trade Discipline Mentoring, and Instructional Techniques.
