Riaz Singh

A Corporate Sector Specialist, with a strong background in the Corporate Legal Sphere - Riaz Singh began 
his career in 2006 as a Judges Clerk at the Pretoria High Court, moving into the Corporate Arena from 2008 
- serving as Litigation Manager for Telesure Group Services | Auto & General and Zurich Insurance 
Company South Africa.
From 2011 Riaz translated his attention and acumen fully into the Insurance Sector, having worked for the 
past decade+ on behalf of industry leaders including; Zurich Insurance Company [Turkey / Morocco / Dubai -
Middle East & Africa], Zurich Insurance Company South Africa, Bryte Insurance Company South Africa, and 
IUM [Underwritten by Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited]. Within these operations, Riaz has significantly
grown his position from legal counsel / Manager and Governance & Compliance Specialist, to Head of legal 
Claims / Head of Liabilities and currently General counsel [a role with extensive Executive Level 
involvement].
The postings in which Riaz has found most successes have been the ones in which he has served as a 
leader in overseeing large-scale operational processes and high-functioning technically driven teams. As a 
transformation leader, Riaz has project managed the development and deployment of two major workflow 
systems within the Insurance / Financial Sector.
