About Nicole Blows:
My journey thus far has allowed me to delve into the world of film and fashion. I have met many wonderful creatives and am grateful for the exposure and experience they have given me. My former internship at POP! gave me an immeasurable amount of experience in the planning and production of photoshoots, commercials and reality television.
My foundation course in fashion at the Design Academy of Fashion has strengthened my love for fashion design, garment construction and textile research. My Bachelor's Degree in Language and Culture (Major in English and Visual Studies) taught me to expand on immaculate literature, as well as, an understanding of art and fashion. Furthermore, I am currently completing my Honours in Fashion at FEDISA. My dissertation focuses on the attitudes of South African Generation Z women towards second-hand clothing.
I am devoted to a life of continual education. I am incredibly fond of learning new skills and am always undertaking extra courses in my free time. I deliver and have an all-or-nothing work ethic.
Experience
During my time at POP! Productions I assisted with set design, production management and talent management. Furthermore, I assisted the stylist and contributed to prop research, collections and returns. I learnt valuable skills such as transcribing, script research, location scouting, booking and creating running orders.
Education
At present, I am in the process of crafting my final dissertation, which delves into the perspectives of South African female Generation Z consumers regarding second-hand clothing. Additionally, I am exploring the factors that facilitate and hinder the adoption of second-hand clothing.
The course modules consisted of research methodology, fashion trends, manufacturing and distribution, fashion retail, and fashion marketing and concluded with a mini-dissertation.
