Mohamed Zaid Suliman

Between 2004 and 2010, I served as an Oracle Functional Consultant and Systems Solutions Analyst during many   Oracle eBusiness Suite Implementation and Support Projects. Whilst implementing the Procurement Contracts, Sourcing and Service Contracts Module at the South African Reserve Bank,  mutual agreement was reached between the Oracle Consortium and the South African Reserve Bank, whereby Mohamed will join the Bank as a Solution Specialist within their (S.A. Reserve Bank’s) Oracle Business Unit. At the beginning of 2018, Mohamed joined Oracle Corporation of South Africa to take on a post as the Oracle Cloud Team Lead and Delivery Manager  for implementations such as MTN (Global), Denso (Europe), and the Provincial Pharmaceutical Industry.

Mohamed started his career in IT,  doing vacation work at an Insurance Brokerage called D&M Associates, performing duties such as networking, software related issues, PC Installations, etc.

During 2000 he enrolled at the University of Pretoria to study BCom: Informatics  (Information Systems), with second and third Major’s in Financial Management and Business Management. Mohamed obtained exemption from his ‘Majored’ exams in the first and  second year of studies due to the fact that he achieved above a certain overall mark. 

During 2002 Mohamed joined a company called Cool-Tech Solutions on a part time basis, whilst continuing his studies at the University, where he assisted with software development and design, as well as with hardware and printer repairs. Towards the end of 2002 he enrolled at Damelin Computer School where he completed an extra course in Visual Basic VER:6 and HTML and XML Web Design. Mohamed completed his BCom (IS) degree and graduated at the end of 2003 from University.

In February 2004 he was hired by M.I.F.S. Solutions as a Microsoft VB.net Developer to change/upgrade the existing version of ‘POSITILL’ and upgrade the existing software-application to a “dot” Net Framework. Mohamed joined the internship program at Xpedia Fusion (Oracle Certified Partner) during June 2004, accepting a position as a trainee Oracle Financials and Supply Chain Functional consultant.
