• Fault Management on Bandwidth Management Equipment, MSAP, SDH Microwave Radio’s, Fiber Optic links, Add Drop Multiplexers and Photonic Attachment Units (DWDM). 
• Commissioning and ATP’s on microwave, OPGW and ADSS fiber.
• Assisting National and Regional Planning with High-level designs and Project implementation.
• Alarm management on all Network Management Systems.
• Management of Synchronization GPS Primary Reference Clocks 
• Maintain grade of service within network KPI’s
• Notify Senior management in advance of “end of life equipment” and necessary steps to safeguard operations.
• Assist the Technology department with tender technical Evaluations
• Ensure proper execution of Transport Networks software updates and upgrades
• Monitoring the performance on Backbone and Access equipment 
• Identify network congestions and advise National Planning on future projects.
• Tender evaluations on prospective telecommunications equipment, ensuring that the equipment meets Eskom standards.
• Expert level support for junior NMC staff and Field Services Technicians in fault management and commissioning.
• Routine preventative maintenance on Servers.
• Assisting with HLD and LLD on IP MPLS, SDH and PDH Microwave radios
