About Lehlohonolo Bopape:

My name is Lehlohonolo Bopape and I am an aspiring screenwriter. I have always had a love for storytelling and a passion for the silver screen. Growing up, I spent my free time writing short stories and songs, honing my craft and developing my unique voice. After earning an honours degree in screenwriting, I have been working hard to break into the entertainment industry and make a difference by bringing more LGBT representation on screen.

I have written several short films and web videos that have been well received online. I am now focused on getting a feature film or TV series produced. It's my goal to create stories that not only entertain but also give a voice to the underrepresented communities and break stereotypes. I believe that everyone deserves to see themselves represented on screen and that's what drives me to keep pushing forward in this industry.

Experience

Cultivated strong knowledge of key conceptual, practical, and contextual skills required to write, direct and produce various forms of film, TV, stage, and emerging media content. Assumed marketing, directing and writing roles within creative production teams across multiple content forms, maintaining ethical cultural awareness and operating cross-functionally.
• Orchestrated release of 8 short films in capacity of Writer and Director.
• Transcended duties by developing comprehensive marketing plans for film projects.
