Leanne Krauss

I am a qualified veterinary nurse, I am currently a sales representative in the Veterinary pharmaceutical industry (16 years of sales experience) but am busy completing a post graduate diploma in Marketing practice this year as I would like to move into a sales manager or product manager position. I enjoy educating, offering support and motivating colleagues and clients as well as obtaining targets. 

I qualified as a veterinary nurse at Onderstepoort in 2001, and nursed at a one man practice in Natal before moving to the Cape in 2003 to work in a multi vet mixed animal practice for 4 years. I then entered the Veterinary pharmaceutical industry and was a sales rep for the compounding pharmacy Vtech for just over 8 years focusing on the Western Cape, Eastern Cape and Natal territories. In 2015 I then joined Cipla Vet which is now Kyron Vet Rx and where I am currently employed and attend to the Western Cape Northern suburbs and outlying areas. I would like to move into management and although I mentor new reps on paper I am not in the mamagement roll and am therfore busy completing my postgraduates diploma in management practice through the Graduate school of Business. The course elaborates on business acumen and value based leadership, and is the honours degree before the MBA. I am aiming to either become a sales manager or a product manager. 

Being a qualified Veterinary Nurse enables me to understand the Industry. I also hand in my final Assignment for the post graduate diploma in Management practice on the 20th November. I am sure I will then have this qualification to validate a mamagement role.
