Enthusiastic and driven Biotechnology lab intern, holding a bachelor’s degree in microbiology & human movement science. Passionate about leveraging my scientific expertise to contribute meaningfully to the field. Equipped with hands-on skills from the UVU Bio Bioprocess Skills Accelerator Programme, specializing in areas such as Industrial Biotech, Microbiological Techniques, Bioprocess Engineering, Upstream and Downstream Processing, Cell Separation, and Protein Purification. A quick learner with a determined mindset, I bring a high attention to detail, collaborative teamwork, and a commitment to on-time project completion. Eager to apply my knowledge and skills to make a positive impact in the dynamic world of biotechnology.

I am working as a science research intern at UVUBio. I have a diverse professional background with 1 year experience in both laboratory and administrative roles. In the lab, I have worked on sample preparation, equipment testing, swabbing, DNA extraction, and recombinant protein production and a lot more. These tasks have strengthened my technical skills and understanding of scientific processes. 

On the administrative side, I have managed procurement, ensuring the lab has the necessary materials and equipment. Additionally, I hold a certificate in bioprocessing skills, highlighting my commitment to ongoing professional development.

I hold a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Human Movement Science from the University of Zululand, which has provided me with a strong foundation in both the biological sciences and the study of human physiology and kinetics. This dual focus has equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of microorganisms and their interactions, as well as the principles of human movement and health.
