Name is Lance Cloete Managing Director and Founder of CGITA Advisory (Pty) Ltd, with over nineteen (19) years of experience in Information technology (IT) auditing. I’m a team player, well-organised, self-motivated, results oriented, highly analytical individual who pays high attention to detail. After completion of my Bcom Information Systems degree, I was offered an opportunity to be placed on a 3 years trainee program as a trainee IT Auditor at the Office of the Auditor General, where I moved through the ranks from IT auditor to Manager. I have worked in both Public Sector and Private sector as a consultant focusing on internal and external audits. I’m hardworking, innovation and have gained invaluable skills in Technology and Infrastructure, Projects and Systems which resulted in myself freelancing for 2 at the BIG 4, Grant Thornton (BDO) and Ernst and Young South Africa (Financial Services client) I possess knowledge in the following:
• Frameworks and Standards: COBIT5, ISO 27001, COSO, SOX, Val IT, ITIL, ISA, ICT Governance etc.
• Data Analytics software: IDEA, ACL (Basic + Advance).
• ERP & Application Packages: Pastel Accounting, VIP, Accpac and Novell, BAS, PERSAL, LOGIS, most Municipal Financial and Performance Management Applications etc .
