I am a seasoned Corporate Communication Specialist with a career spanning 12 years. I would best describe myself as a storyteller, drawing on my passion for taking people’s stories and bringing them to life.

I majored in Corporate Communication and Development Studies, for which I have an Honours Degree, with the view of pursuing a career in development communications. I have aligned myself with organisations that share my enthusiasm for philanthropy and education through my employment and volunteer work.

I have developed expertise in marketing and communication strategy development and execution, working closely with senior management to ensure that the brand promise resonates with our stakeholders. I am deadline driven and decisive and I pride myself in responding swiftly to opportunities and challenges. I am passionate about using communication to tell stories, shape corporate culture, build brand recognition and effect societal change.

In my current role as an External Communication Specialist, I am responsible for developing and executing a communications plan for internal and external communication, and PR. I successfully manage service providers, including creative agency teams, to deliver quality communication to all stakeholders.

In the period of June 2020–March 2022, I successfully managed the Corporate Communication function within our organisation in the absence of senior management. During this period, I established a Thought Leadership Programme, facilitated divisional audits, and performance reporting on, and managed PR and media relations.
