Jessica Wolpert

After finishing my Genetics degree at Stellenbosch University, I travelled to the United States as an Au Pair for affluent family. Here I met the needs and schedules of three children as well as ran every household responsibility. This exercised my people skills, working with internationals and high levels of organisation. It was during this time where I began to notice my skill and desire to organize and care for other’s needs – and considered hospitality as a career. 

I thrive on organisation, working in busy environments and love interacting with people of a broad array of cultures. I am able to work both as part of a team or individually and have always had a keen interest in the goodwill of others. I am punctual, dependable, highly self-motivated and always embrace a challenge. 

My aim is to gain as much experience in bartending, silver surface, hotel and restaurant management and waitering as possible. My long-term goal is to become proficient in hotel and restaurant management and eventually work in international hospitality. 

After completing my degree, I completed a course in Yoga teacher training. I then worked as an office administrator for a logistics company before working an an au pair in America for 1 year. After returning home, I worked as a junior manager at a restaurant in Stellenbosch .

I have a Bachelors Degree in Science from Stellenbosch University- I majored in Genetics, Psychology and Physiology.
