Jean-Dee De Klerk

I am currently a Student Civil Engineer and soon to be a bachelor’s (NQF8) degree graduate. With my civil engineering degree and industrial experience, it is my goal to commence this career and excel therein. I am a driven individual always willing to learn. With my enthusiasm, optimism, and interpersonal skills, I believe I will be a valuable addition to your team.

I have been an intern at a engineer consulting firm (focusing mainly on water design) and at a contractor (focusing mainly on buildings).

Throughout my past industry experiences, I honed my technical and project management skills. I am an astute problem solver and coupled with my attention to detail and time-management skills, I can properly prioritize and deliver output that is on time and of the expected quality. 

In my previous role, I had to extensively exercise a positive attitude, good communication, teamwork, self-management, willingness to learn, critical and strategic thinking, and resilience to be able to satisfy my work responsibilities. It was admittedly a challenging environment but has shaped me into a greater person. I am now excited for new challenges and to be able to contribute to common goals.

I am currently finishing my 4 year Bachelors of Engineering in Civil Engineering degree (NQF8). I started in 2019 and plan to finish in time (2022). I have done well so far, with average of 69% and passing all modules.
