I am currently studying for a Masters in ICT at the Durban University of Technology. I have 23 years working experience in the field of IT technical support. I hold a great wealth of knowledge. I am willing to learn a lot more. I really enjoy what I do. I enjoy challenges and as the current one no longer has any, hence I’m on the lookout for a new job.

Duties as follows:

1. Software, hardware, and basic network troubleshooting
2. Desktop maintenance, software updates, software installation
3. Setup and configuration of new keyboard, PCs, laptops etc.
4. Diagnose and quickly resolve a wide range of Windows applications and networking problems to help minimize downtime
5. Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and site standards
6. Installing and maintaining Desktop OS
7. Provide general PC and peripheral troubleshooting and support
8. Creating computer lab images to be rolled out to other desktops
9. Installing software of the Windows Virtual Desktop (a.k.a. Azure Virtual Desktop)
10. Troubleshooting and maintenance of WVD windows virtual desktop
11. Assisting students and staff with software and hardware queries, including hardware and software repairs, anti-virus queries, installation of various software (SQL server, visual studio, android studio, SAP etc.)
12. Troubleshooting software
13. General hardware queries
14. Have been working remotely since covid began in 2020 to August 2022 assisting staff and students with technical queries 
15. Software used to remotely provide assistance is via TeamViewer and Aero admin. Attracted a huge number of students especially during the covid period to present
