Francois Saayman

My name is Francois Saayman. I am 50 years of age and I grew up in Kwazulu-Natal. I am currently located in Ficksburg in the Eastern Free State. I am registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technician Registration no 2021600749, with 30 years’ experience in the civil engineering field. I have been involved in repair, renovations, service and maintenance projects for the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure for 16 years at nine land ports of entry on the South-African/Lesotho border. I have vast knowledge and experience in the design, draughting of civil infrastructure, contract management and administration and in the project management of repair, renovations, maintenance and servicing projects for buildings and structural elements, roads, water and sewer installations, wastewater and water treatment plants, electrical installations, HVAC and air-conditioning systems, firefighting equipment and auditing of occupation health and safety documentation. I have obtained a National Diploma: Civil Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology.  I am proficient in AllyCAD, CivilDesigner, Prokon, Wadiso and Microsoft Office programs, with intermediate level of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and I have experience of Modelmaker, Roadmaker and Pipemaker. I am a friendly professional, hands-on person that is not afraid to get my hands dirty and believe to do my work right the first time.

I have been involved in all spheres of the civil engineering field, from infrastructure design and drafting to steel and concrete structural design and drafting. I have also done project management of facility management of the upgrading, repair, servicing and maintenance of buildings, civil, electrical and mechanical infrastructure and installations at nine land ports of entry over a period of 15 years.
