My hobbies include keeping up to date on what's happening in the world of computing.

Keeping fit - I have completed 11 Comrade Marathons and 1 Ironman (at the age of 60!). I still run with my club 3X a week.

- Designed, programmed and implemented various major projects. Examples include - 

  1. Cross border transactions with Namibia, eSwatini and Lesotho.

  2. Supplementary Data for CMA countries, to satisfy the South African Reserve Bank regulations (FATF etc).

  3. Value transactions between Bankserv and the wider value chain within the South African banking industry.

  4. Designed, programmed, Implemented and maintained an automated GL balancing System for all EFT entries (Internal, external (Bankserv/SARB) and cross border).

  5.  Designed, programmed, Implemented and maintained a EFT Miss-post (i.e. Credit EFT’s been posted to the incorrect account). This saved the bank a huge amount of money and reputational risk.

- Maintained the bank systems both Online and Batch which included "high pressure" investigations and bug fixes.

- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features.
