About Danniel Viadana:
Hey there, my name is Danniel and I am from Cape Town, South Africa. I am currently studying a Bachelor of Law Degree. This includes formal English and interpretation where I hold my standards very high when it comes to quality of work/information, discipline and structure, thus, this can be seen through my many achievements in tertiary academic work (TEFL certificate, Higher certificate in legal studies) as well as provincial sports (swimming, football and athletics). I love to teach as I have been told and realised myself that I have an underlying gift to share and illuminate information useful to whoever is listening.
Experience
I have two years of teaching experience, both online and in person with certification and references to motivate. I previously worked for a Taiwanese company, I taught well over 1800 lessons that ranged between 25 minutes to 35 minutes, sometimes going way over to give my students a little bit more. I taught children between the ages of 6-12 on subjects including English, Math, Geography and Biology. I am more profound in my English teaching capabilities, whether British or American. I only teach what I am 100% certain about and if I have to do research, it is only through credible sources. My philosophy is finding the students' strengths/talents and using that to help them focus and apply what they have learnt. I am very patient, which is why I don't find frustration in repetition. "organistation is the key to success" - this is my life motto.
Before we begin a lesson, especially if you are a new student, we will spend a bit of time talking about our day within three categories: Health, friends/family and school work.
My teaching methods include:
1) Experiential learning
If you haven’t heard of experiential learning before, it’s the idea that learning is a product of experience.
2) Differentiation
Differentiated learning is a teaching method that tailors instructions to students depending on their individual needs.
3) Game-based learning
Game-based learning, also known as gamification, is a great way to engage students, particularly those in primary and secondary education.
4) Student-centred learning
Teacher-centred learning, which is more common, requires me, the teacher, to give classroom instructions and lead the class most of the time. With student-centred learning, students are given more opportunities to choose what they want to learn and how they want to learn it. This is also known as personalised learning.
I use a combination of those previously mentioned teaching methods within a 30-minute lesson.
Education
I have completed a TEFL certificate where I learnt multiple teaching methods, how to plan lessons and advanced my understanding of Grammer.
