Curen Fortuin

I am an accomplished and qualified public policy professional with more than 5 years of
working experience in socio-economic development. Key expertise includes stakeholder’s
engagements, procurement processes, reviewing policies and the coordination of projects.

I have good interpersonal skills, communication and I easily adapt to any team. I also have
good intercultural and international experience I am aiming to maximize expertise by
utilizing experience and education to add value within a reputable organization.

Previously a project officer at the City of Cape Town’s, where I was working closely with all the economic development partners of the city. This was partners from across industries, the academic, public policy and private sector. My responsibilities included, capture data, writing progress reports, reviewing policies, drafting factsheets to update old policies, liaising with stakeholders, planning of events and do project implementation and research duties. I was also responsible for overseeing databases accounts as well as responding business enquiries through the business support email account. My position as a Policy Support officer at the Consulate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands also contribute to my expertise as a socio-economic development professional. My core responsibilities are to assist with project administration duties, such as capturing data and planning stakeholder network events on behalf of the Consul General.
