Chelsea van Antwerp

Motivated and diligent, with a notable academic record, I am currently a fourth and final-year BCom
International Business student, majoring in Marketing, Entrepreneurship and Economics. A BCom
International Business degree differs from a usual BCom, as students are able to study subjects from
Law, Arts and Business faculties. I obtained credits in Corporate Social Responsibility and Intercultural
Communication, subjects also unique to this degree.

My business skills include critical thinking, planning and management, problem solving, research and
analysis, teamwork, appreciation of cultural differences, communication, decision-making, and time
management. I am dedicated, conscientious, and consistent. Lecturers and fellow students find me
to be a confident extrovert, who is calm under pressure and adaptable. I pride myself on being
optimistic and positive, approachable and a good listener.

I excelled at school through hard work and determination, obtaining six distinctions. This discipline
and effort afforded me selection as one of only 50 students admitted. Criteria for this degree is high
- a minimum 80% average for admission and a maintained average of 60% in each year of study. As
part of the degree curriculum, each student studies abroad for a semester. I was accepted into the
University of Bristol in England, where I shall complete my last semester in early 2024.

I possess a supportive personality, open and civil in work and social situations. I am honourable and trustworthy, with strong leadership
abilities. I am cooperative, yet thrive in individual situations. I display consistently exemplary
conduct, particularly in pressured situations. I am dedicated, and hard-working, always completing
tasks to a high standard.

I am a final year student at Stellenbosch University currently finisihing off my exchange in Bristol, England.
