Angelo Dixon

I'm Angelo Dixon. 47 year old single Dad living in Lentegeur, Mitchell's Plain. As per any South African I'm a full blooded sports fan as well as retired sportsman ( I dabble a bit in the odd social games covering from indoor/outdoor soccer and cricket. Before covid I still played club rugby (Hamediehs RFC). As per most of my generation when it comes to the work place I've discovered just how different of a work ethic i/we have to the new generation and I'm happy I grew up in my time period cause the values that was taught to me stood me in good stead in my careers. 

WORLD OF LABELS:-

My first job out of school. Worked there for 7 years as a cutter. It prepared me well for my other jobs that followed. I had a boss who was a stickler for being in work and being fresh out of school it instilled ( with a bit of fear in the beginning lol ) in me discipline not to stay out of work for just any apparent reason that I still carry with me to this day

Siemens PABX SYSTEMS:

With my father and my brother we subcontracted directly and only for Siemens Telecommunications. I had absolutely no telecoms experience what so ever and was taught by my father the ins and outs, do's and don'ts  I was lucky enough to be taught by my father who instilled in me a very strict work ethos. Time management is of utmost importance. Never be afraid to ask questions or to take advice from anyone young or old. Make sure you leave your work area in a better condition than what you found it in. If a problem is beyond your capability, make sure you to get the proper individuals involved to solve said problem. Also look presentable, be courteous and above all have good customer relations.

This was my current and last job up until 16 July 2021 and is also my current field of expertise that I apply my trade in. 

BEEN POS FIELD SERVIC TECHNICIAN  FROM OCTOBER 2017 TO CURRENT DATE. STARTED ON A YEAR TO YEAR CONTRACT BASES UNTIL THEY SAW IT FIT TO MAKE ME A FULL TIME EMPLOYEE. I WAS A POINT OF SALES FIELD TECHNICIAN DOING WORK FOR THE SHOPRITE GROUP DOING MAINTENANCE WORK ON THEIR TILLS AT VARIOUS STORES. ENJOYING THE PACE AND CHALLENGES EVERY DAY, SUPPORTING MANY STORES DAILY IN THE WESTERN CAPE  INVOLVED IN TRAINING NEW TECHNICIANS ON THE WINPOS\RETAILX SYSTEM.INSTALLING,FIXING,REBUILDING STORE CPU AND PERIPHERALS AND MAINTAINING.BOOTSTOCK

I matriculated from Windermere SSS in Factreton class of 91..that however was the extent of my academic level. Would have loved to have gone further but it was not meant to be. But as is life, I couldnt have asked for a better working career given my lack of further education. I credit my hunger to learn, observe and application skills for where I ended up as far as jobs go. A keen eye and willingness not to just learn new skills taught to me but then to also improve on what my tasks was and in so doing not just becomin  better at my job but to then also implement new ways of doing said job that made me a more efficient worker for my company but mainly and more importantly also providing an excellent service to whichever customer it might be that I'm servicing. Happy customer, makes for a happy boss, makes for a invaluable employee to his company and to the customer. The circle not of life but of the workforce/work environment.
