About Anel Clark:
I have successfully obtained my National Diploma in Biomedical
Technology (Clinical Pathology), Baccalaureus Technologiae Degree: Biomedical Technology and MSc Medical Microbiology at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology and the University of Stellenbosch.
My degree and work experience has exposed me to various fields of research in the medical, pharmaceutical and toxicological fields as well as in the food industry.
- During my studies, I did an internship in a clinical pathology laboratory.
- In 1993 I started working as a medical technologist in a 24hour emergency laboratory.
- In 1995 I was appointed a research assistant at Essential Sterolin Products. I was part of the team that developed Moducare®.
- After the launch of Moducare® in 2003, I started working at Synexa Life Sciences.
- We first started with the production of Ionomycin and Brefeldin A.
- In May 2003 the company started doing clinical trials and I was appointed as a Section head for the Flow and cell based assays, as well as the Specialized Diagnostic laboratory.
- In 2016 I resigned and was appointed by Freddy Hirsch as a Laboratory Manager (Chemistry and Microbiology) and Assistant QC manager.
