Qualification and Experience

  • Minimum qualification: Relevant commercial or technical honors degree.
  • 58 years of related experience, with 23 years in assessing and closing transactions.
  • Declared competent in two due diligence disciplines (Marketing, Technical, or Financial).
  • Grounded in one of the above due diligence disciplines.
  • Experience in interpreting financial statements.
  • Sectorspecific knowledge would be advantageous.

Roles and Responsibilities Financial / Shareholder Returns**:

  • Evaluate and structure transactions with precision using financing instruments.
  • Design and negotiate comprehensive deals, considering financial, EHS, legal, and other critical aspects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with deals.
  • Actively participate in due diligence teams.
  • Ensure strategic alignment of deals with unit objectives and industry development goals.
  • Manage account functions up to the first drawdown.
  • Craft and submit credit proposals.
  • Ensure meticulous client data management.

Internal / Operational Processes:


  • Optimize deals to meet unit objectives and contribute to industry development.
  • Mentor and coach Business Analysts for growth and success.

Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management:


  • Build and maintain strong relationships with enquirers, applicants, and portfolio clients.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with different SBUs and departments to fulfil process requirements.
  • Elevate service levels and communication to achieve client service excellence.
  • Actively liaise, communicate, and promote the unit externally.

Learning, Leadership & People Growth:


  • Drive personal development to enhance competencies.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing within the team and crossfunctional areas.
  • Mentor and coach Business Analysts, contributing to their growth.
