- Assist in ensuring that Safety, health and environment are complied with in the plant
- Implementation of the technical standards and procedures in the operations
- Ensure that technical standards are met and maintained in the operations
- Audit compliance to "specifications/parameters" and liaise with plant personnel
- Identify ongoing potential areas for plant process improvement
- Ongoing technical support to plant production team to achieve operational goals
- Provide detailed analyses of process control/plant performance relationships
- Co-ordinate metal accounting, accuracy, reporting, and metal monitoring
- Monitor production performance metrics and analyse data to identify trends and opportunity for process optimization.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify areas of improvement in production processes and develop solutions to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Assist to ensure a stable and sustainable plant performance within the metallurgical plant
- B Eng. Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or similar
- Post graduate qualification will be advantageous
- 5 years or more extensive post qualification experience in technical management of extractive metallurgy of gold processes or development projects
- Metallurgical process and plant operating skills;
- Strong supervisory and leadership qualities;
- Strong technical problem-solving skills;
- Planning, coordination and prioritizing skills;
- Emergency response and crisis management;
- Computer literacy;
- Report writing skills;
- Good written and verbal communication to interact with stakeholders
- Experience with metallurgical smelting of gold and AMD will be advantageous
- Valid driving license code B or EB
- Salary: R1.1Mil/yr - R1.3Mil/yr, salary negotiable
