    Description

    Hire Resolve is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Metallurgist to join our client's team in the mining industry. Located in Gauteng, this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the optimization and improvement of metallurgical processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and lead a team of metallurgical professionals in the mining operation
    • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental standards
    • Drive continuous improvement in metallurgical processes and operations
    • Identify and implement best practices and innovative solutions
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational targets
    • Contribute to budgeting and resource allocation for metallurgical activities
    • Stay updated with industry trends and developments
    • Provide technical expertise and support to the operations team

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering or related field
    • Minimum of 8 years of experience in metallurgical roles within the mining industry
    • Strong knowledge of metallurgical processes and equipment
    • Experience in plant optimization and process improvement
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong leadership and team management abilities
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Knowledge of relevant software and tools
    • Professional certifications would be advantageous
