Overview of the job:

The company is operating in the bio-medical industry and, specialises in the installation and service of advanced medical equipment in the field of Radiotherapy.

They are looking for a highly motivated Electronics Technician for the Durban, KZN area.

The initial placement would be in Gauteng to obtain on-the-job experience with the equipment, if necessary; then moving to KZN thereafter.

Official 'Factory Based' training will be given in due course.
Start date to be ASAP.

Minimum Criteria

Diploma: Electrical Engineering (N6), preferably light current or Clinical Engineering.
Digital and Analogue fault finding to component level.
Experience in RF components (Magnetrons, Klystrons, Wave guides), High Voltage fast switching components and/or Pulse Modulators would be preferential.
Ability to use measuring equipment (Multimeters, Oscilloscopes, HV Probes).
Basic knowledge of Networking.
A talent for problem solving / fault finding.
Experience on the Elekta / Varian range of Linear Accelerators (Linac's) would be very advantageous.
A high degree of computer literacy.
MS Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge.

Other Requirements:

Must be willing to travel country wide.
Own reliable Vehicle.
Valid Driver's License
Flexible and able to work responsibly and unsupervised.
