Utilities Analyst - Johannesburg, South Africa - CBRE Excellerate
Description
Initiate, plan, monitor and complete all project implementation across the utilities business with a specific focus on projects that generate revenue, add value, expand service offering or result in operational improvements.
Objectives and Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for revenue generation, valueadd, expanded services and operational improvements.
- Compile a detailed report of recommendations which may include tariff optimisation, meter inaccuracy reporting, energy efficiency or water efficiency interventions.
- Conduct research and constantly seek out new innovations / technologies / activities / recommendations that will result in cost optimisation across all utilities.
- Prepare reconciliations as and when required.
- Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with the SLA's as per the contracts.
- Compile monthly reports accurately and timeously.
- Ensure all recommendations are properly added to the workflow and are implemented within SLA timelines.
- Ensure all queries raised are properly added to the workflow and are resolved and responded to within SLA timelines.
- Report on utility management and consumption in the portfolio and for the sustainability report.
- To monitor utilities procedures and compliance within the portfolio.
- Meet with clients when needed to resolve queries.
Experience / Education:
- Grade 12 Senior Certificate with Math.
- At least 5 years minimum experience within the utilities environment.
Knowledge Required:
- Aptitude for figures and financial skills.
- Adequate knowledge of specific discipline.
- Legislation and regulations with regards to municipal/government supply and services requirements.
- Industry knowledge specific to area of accountability.
- Ability to integrated legal, technical and financial skills to produce clear and concise actions.
- Computer Literacy.
- Negotiations skills.
- Organising skills.
- Excellent writing skills.
