Description

Initiate, plan, monitor and complete all project implementation across the utilities business with a specific focus on projects that generate revenue, add value, expand service offering or result in operational improvements.


Objectives and Responsibilities:


  • Identify opportunities for revenue generation, valueadd, expanded services and operational improvements.
  • Compile a detailed report of recommendations which may include tariff optimisation, meter inaccuracy reporting, energy efficiency or water efficiency interventions.
  • Conduct research and constantly seek out new innovations / technologies / activities / recommendations that will result in cost optimisation across all utilities.
  • Prepare reconciliations as and when required.
  • Ensure deadlines are met in accordance with the SLA's as per the contracts.
  • Compile monthly reports accurately and timeously.
  • Ensure all recommendations are properly added to the workflow and are implemented within SLA timelines.
  • Ensure all queries raised are properly added to the workflow and are resolved and responded to within SLA timelines.
  • Report on utility management and consumption in the portfolio and for the sustainability report.
  • To monitor utilities procedures and compliance within the portfolio.
  • Meet with clients when needed to resolve queries.

Experience / Education:


  • Grade 12 Senior Certificate with Math.
  • At least 5 years minimum experience within the utilities environment.

Knowledge Required:


  • Aptitude for figures and financial skills.
  • Adequate knowledge of specific discipline.
  • Legislation and regulations with regards to municipal/government supply and services requirements.
  • Industry knowledge specific to area of accountability.
  • Ability to integrated legal, technical and financial skills to produce clear and concise actions.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Negotiations skills.
  • Organising skills.
  • Excellent writing skills.
