    Description

    RPO Recruitment is currently seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Junior Food Technologist to join our client's food manufacturing team in Cape Town. As a Junior Food Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the development and quality control of food products.

    In this role, you will work closely with senior food technologists and production teams to execute various tasks such as recipe development, product testing, and quality assurance checks.     Responsibilities

    • Assist with recipe development and modification, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements
    • Conduct product testing and sensory evaluations to ensure quality and consistency
    • Assist with the implementation and maintenance of quality control systems
    • Participate in production and packaging trials to evaluate product performance
    • Ensure all documentation and records are accurately maintained
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
    • Stay updated on industry trends and new developments in food technology
    • Support senior food technologists in various day-to-day tasks

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field
    • Previous experience or internship in a food manufacturing environment is preferred
    • Good understanding of food safety regulations
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
    • Basic computer skills, including MS Office applications
    • Enthusiasm for learning and developing new skills
    • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
