Scope & General Purpose of the Job


To capacitate people by facilitating training programmes and interventions which are aligned to the Company's needs, and to monitor the effectiveness thereof.


Responsible to:

HR Manager


In communication with:

HR Manager, Ops Manager, Catering Managers


Education / Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education / Qualification:

Matric, Certificate in Education, Training and Development practice (Accredited Assessor / Moderation Certificate CATHHSSETA)

Minimum Level / Years of Experience:

- 5 years' experience in similar role

Key Performance Areas:


  • Conducting Training needs analysis
  • Training is coordinated and scheduled in accordance with Operational needs and workplace Skills Plan commitments
  • Training material and requisite training resources and equipment are prepared, arranged and ready prior to the scheduled training
  • Learnerships are coordinated, managed, and monitored in accordance with Internal and SETA requirements
  • Training is facilitated in accordance with stipulated outcomes employing outcomesbased training methodologies
  • Training records are completed within agreed upon timeframes
  • Monthly training report compiled and submitted to HR Manager
  • All relevant project files are updated with training records on completion of training
  • Training certificates are prepared accurately printed and issued within the agreed upon timeframe

  • Planning & Organising Skills, able to plan, prioritise, schedule, and organise activities and resources to meet deliverables or deadlines
  • Communication Skills, able to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Interpersonal Skills, able to develop effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Problem Solving Skills, able to identify and appropriately address and resolve problems
  • Self-Motivation, able to complete tasks without supervision or encouragement
  • Facilitation Skills, able to guide and assist learners in acquiring new knowledge and skills through a structured learning process

Additional Skills Requirements:


  • Excellent Facilitation and Presentation Skills
  • Catering / Hospitality background will be advantageous
  • Sound Knowledge of Training and Skills development legislation and functions
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Work well both individually and in a Team, with strong work ethic
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Ability to travel intensively
  • Own reliable transport
  • Innovative
  • Willing to travel at times being away from home over a period of time
  • Team player willing to go over and above for the company and the teams

Disqualifiers:


  • No sufficient working experience in a similar role
  • No Training Accreditation certificates

Salary:
From R1.00 per month
