Scope & General Purpose of the Job
To provide an efficient, prompt and courteous cashiering service

Catering Manager


Responsible for:

Handling of Cash


In communication with:

Catering Manager, Project Manager, Area Manager, Operations Manager


Education / Qualification and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Education / Qualification:

Matric

Minimum Level / Years of Experience:

2 years' experience in a similar role

Key Performance Areas:


  • Pre-Service Preparation
  • Cashiering
  • Customer Service
  • Post-Service Cash Up and Clearing
  • General Assistance
  • Self-Management

Competencies and Skills Requirements:


  • Communication skills, able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Numeracy Skills, able to perform and interpret job related calculations accurately
  • Administrative Skills, able to perform administrative tasks accurately to achieve required outcomes
  • Interpersonal Skills, able to develop effective interpersonal relationships with internal and external customers

Additional Skills Requirements:


  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must be able to read and understand menus and recipes
  • Must be able to work with portion specifications

Disqualifiers:


  • Insufficient working experience in a similar role
