Core Description

As a Technical Officer: Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for Sanlam and Santam Open Systems monitoring and Enterprise monitoring toolsets. You will also be required to provide input on best fit-for-customer engagement in support of customer satisfaction.

Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

Monitor all servers using BCX monitoring tools i.e. ITSM, TSOM, Entuity, SCOM, Windows 10 Linux, and Open Systems to ensure systems are functioning at optimal levels.
Resolve 1st line technical support queries professionally and efficiently, maintaining a high degree of customer services.
Ensure that all system automated calls allocated to you are dealt with in line with SLA's.
Ensure that high impact incidents are escalated to management and site support to resolve these incidents and prevent system outages.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to understand system requirements and provide technical support.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates, gather feedback and address concerns related to systems infrastructure.
Participate and work in a team of professionals, share knowledge, exchange ideas and contribute to the company's technical roadmap.
Collaborate effectively and productively with 3rd line support.
Adhere to internal procedures, specifically regarding monitoring and escalation.

Minimum Qualifications

NQF 4: Grade 12 National Diploma

Additional Education -Preferred /Advantage

Experience

2 years' experience in IT system engineering.

Certifications

ITIL Foundation

Professional Memberships in Relevant Industry

Level of Engagement & Span of Control

Engagement will all levels within the organisation, internal and external to the business.
