Description

  • Development of Standard Operating Procedures for the Pharmacy plan
  • Continuous Development of systems for recording drug accountability and temperature control
  • Ensure stock control of trial and nontrial related medicines with good drug accountability processes.
  • Responsible for the preparation and dispensing of study product according to protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice Standards (GCP)
  • Responsible for completing the participants pharmacy source file.
  • Collecting information from participants related to study product returns.
  • Perform individualized adherence counselling as per protocol.
  • Ensure the safe disposal of study product.
  • Responsible for monthly stock takes of study products and recording of it.
  • Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers and Suppliers, when necessary, towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation.
  • Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources
  • Adhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the position.
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
  • Adhere to all management SOP's, guidelines and confidential agreements.
  • Participates in the standby roster for management of pharmacy equipment and medicines.

Requirements:


Qualification/Professional Membership:


  • Degree in Pharmacy
  • Registration with SA Pharmacy Council
  • GCP certificate (Advantageous)

Work Experience:


  • At least 3 years Pharmacy experience
  • Clinical or research experience in TB/HIV care (Advantageous)
