Description
- Development of Standard Operating Procedures for the Pharmacy plan
- Continuous Development of systems for recording drug accountability and temperature control
- Ensure stock control of trial and nontrial related medicines with good drug accountability processes.
- Responsible for the preparation and dispensing of study product according to protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice Standards (GCP)
- Responsible for completing the participants pharmacy source file.
- Collecting information from participants related to study product returns.
- Perform individualized adherence counselling as per protocol.
- Ensure the safe disposal of study product.
- Responsible for monthly stock takes of study products and recording of it.
- Liaise with all Internal Customers and External Customers and Suppliers, when necessary, towards the achievement of organizational and departmental goals.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures according to prescribed procedures and legislation.
- Report all unsafe activities to Senior Management/Human Resources
- Adhere and maintain decision making authority as allocated to the position.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Adhere to all management SOP's, guidelines and confidential agreements.
- Participates in the standby roster for management of pharmacy equipment and medicines.
Requirements:
Qualification/Professional Membership:
- Degree in Pharmacy
- Registration with SA Pharmacy Council
- GCP certificate (Advantageous)
Work Experience:
- At least 3 years Pharmacy experience
- Clinical or research experience in TB/HIV care (Advantageous)
