Inspiring stuff, Ian, about a uniquely complex character who appeared to marry art with engineering in such an accomplished way. Hard to believe that his “pearly grey, gelatinous, three-pound universe” could achieve so much, given his initial lack of a ‘formal’ education. Don't know if I've told you this before, Ian, but, as an artless engineer myself, I felt there was hope for me to develop my non-scientific skills the other night, when I was actually visited by what appeared to be the ghost of Da Vinci. It fair gave me an ‘art attack'! 🤣😂🤣
