An exciting new role has become available for a Finance Assistant who will support for the Senior Finance Manager and assist the medical finance operations team where required.

The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing both the AR and AP functions for the South African and international entities.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide support for monthly close activities, including submissions and reporting
  • Assist with month end close process (journals, accruals etc)
  • Manage AP inbox and ensure invoices appropriately approved
  • Prepare payment run and supporting documentation for review
  • Generate and process customer invoices in the accounting system
  • Assist in the timely and accurate completion of all general ledger account reconciliations
  • Vendor setup in financial system
  • Proactively following up on all customer collections and resolving outstanding queries
  • Prepare VAT workings and returns for review
  • Assist with audit and related queries as required
  • Ensure that all supplier invoices are valid and captured accurately and completely
  • Assist in document management
  • Assist with weekly/monthly accounts receivable reporting

Requirements:


  • Accounting or finance related qualification
  • Experience working with multiple currencies beneficial
  • Good understanding of reconciliations, matching and accounting
