Africa's leading specialist in the manufacturing of premium knitted and woven mattress fabric based in Elsiesriver industrial is seeking to fill the role of Warehouse Supervisor


Job Summary

  • The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities such as; receiving shipments, overseeing warehouse inventories and maintaining stock levels in the stores.

Qualifications and Experience:


  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Warehousing, Operations Management or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience operating in a supervisory capacity within a warehousing and stock control environment.
  • Computer literacy (MS Office, ERP systems, preferably Syspro).

Duties and Responsibilities, include but are not limited to the following:

  • Standard stock replenishment via electronic routing of requisitions.
  • Capturing of all authorised requisitions daily for transfers and issues between warehouses.
  • Manage the stock levels and issuing from the consumables store on Syspro.
  • Control all activities relating to receipt and issuing of raw material.
  • Receiving goods and ensure that all documentation related to goods receipts are correct.
  • Coordinate the delivery, offloading and collection of imported containers with the logistics provider and capture all container documentation accurately.
  • Ensure the storeman accurately maintains all rebate store documentation & house keeping
  • Perform monthly stock take duties.
  • Ensure the warehouse is neat and orderly at all times.
  • Assist with enquiries regarding receipts, transfers and issuing of goods.
  • Coordinating inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Maintains storage area by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements.
  • Maintains inventory by conducting monthly and weekly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data.

  • Experience and ability to multitask and manage time wisely.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
