Minimum requirements include

  • 5 years in a similar role i.e. Procurement or Materials Manager
  • Expertise in warehousing and procurement best practices
  • Ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Solid knowledge of procurement KPIs
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Highly analytical
  • Deadline driven
  • South African citizen
Key responsibilities will include

  • Management of small team of procurement staff
  • Maintaining maximum GP via better buying practices
  • Stock analyses (specific to each supplier)
  • Management of price lists and costings (release of price list every quarter)
  • Maintaining proper branch stock levels
  • Communication with managers and directors
