Our client a Global Tech firm is seeking a Client Portfolio Manager to join their team in Randburg on a contract basis.

Requirements:


  • Facilitate, coordinate and provide direction for the Group CRM/Billing and Payments vision, strategy and value proposition, including identifying and designing new monetisation capabilities to support business and tech for tech growth through technology initiatives. Own and drive the portfolio roadmap, including CRM/Billing and payment activities across all business areas and drive the solution delivery within the Technology space
  • This role will closely align with the BAU Functional Heads for the MCG business units (MCSA, MAH, CV, NMS) and relevant associated functional streams in EBS. The core activity will drive the delivery of pertinent technology initiatives and direct the implementation of technology replacements and any operating model designs and changes required
  • The incumbent is required to liaise with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation and business units to identify focus areas, unpack business value in conjunction with key business stakeholders, gather insight and build and prioritise backlog items based on cost/value/effort sizing, within the scope of Technology area.
  • Functional Strategy:
  • Remain informed and updated on productline/ business unit/ enterprise priorities, strategies, goals, as well as emerging technologies, industry trends and economic viability across the portfolio
  • Facilitate strategy, objectives, metrics, roadmaps and business model changes in alignment with MCG Strategy or the respective Business Unit Strategy in conjunction with BAU Functional Heads and Executive Leadership
  • Report on the progress of the abovestated activities, internally and externally, in the form prescribed by the EBS PMO
  • Ensure that the respective Portfolio supports the Customer Experience Strategy through engagements with the various business stakeholders and facilitate/cascade this across the EBS Delivery & Support teams
  • Work with key stakeholders including product owners to incorporate your respective Portfolio into journey strategies and build roadmaps and outline initiatives that will deliver the strategy which will feed into your respective Portfolio Roadmap
  • Coordinate planning and strategic roadmaps with the relevant portfolio working groups and across Portfolios in collaboration with all Portfolio Managers
  • Drive key decisions and approvals through the relevant forums, such as SteerCo including EBS & MCG Group ExCo members

Governance & Assurance:


  • Implement a portfolio governance framework and operating model and track implementation of relevant initiatives
  • Incorporate and translate program "ways of work"into functional stream "ways of working"
  • Define SLAs, KPIs and implement portfolio, policies, processes, and standards
  • Define the program outcomes and outputs in alignment with the organizational objectives
  • Keep an effective liaison with suppliers, tech vendors and all stakeholders impacted
  • Execute on the above with effective coordination with BAU stakeholders, matching the future design with the most burning needs of the business, and ensuring a high degree of involvement and participation from the whole functional community
  • Hold a permanent seat in specific business strategy, design and architecture decisionmaking committees/forums/authorities
  • Report on the progress of the abovestated activities, internally and externally, in the form prescribed by the EBB PMO
  • Ensure partner, vendor and teamrelated administration is up to date (Incl. Staff details, approval frameworks, Contracts, Invoicing)
  • Ensure compliance with MCG and programme level assurance requirements, and with legal, legislative, finance, controls, revenue assurance, tax and regulatory requirements through appropriate business designs, based on functional area e.g. GDPR, PSD2, PPR, POPI, PCI
  • Ensure delivery planning, resourcing, and financial reporting are up to date
  • Financial Management, Monitoring and Reporting:
  • Provide financial oversight and budget planning withing your respective Portfolio
  • Manage and facilitate monitoring and reporting across projects withing your respective Portfolio
  • Track the portfolio budget by monitoring costs and expenditures against achieved deliverables

Portfolio Management:


  • Translate functional strategy into actionable roadmaps with measurable goals across the portfolio of work
  • Facilitates the prioritization of decisions across technology, business and resources
  • Manages and sets priority of projects based on agreed upon business objectives. Drive sequencing of projects to support business objectives
  • Implement portfolio management processes that will assist to find gaps in the current project portfolio and identify projects that may become barriers to completing future ones
  • Managing the coordination
