The Department of Psychology in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences has a growing reputation as a leading educational provider for undergraduate and postgraduate professional Psychology programmes.

The Faculty of Community and Health Sciences is seeking to permanently appoint a Lecturer within the Department of Psychology.
Teaching and learning at an undergraduate.

Teach and learning at a postgraduate level on Psychology Honours and Masters Research Psychology programmes.
Research supervision of Psychology Honours level students.
Research supervision of Masters level research if they hold a PhD.
Participation in research, curriculum development and staff development.
Developing industry and academic partnerships.
Engaging in community outreach.
Responsible for administrative duties within the Department, Faculty and the University.

Minimum Requirements

A Master's Degree in Research Psychology or a Master's degree in Psychology.
Postgraduate research supervision experience at least at Honours level.
Experience in undergraduate teaching.
Evidence of successful peer reviewed publications.

Added advantages

Registration with the HPCSA in the category of Research Psychologist or registrable with the HPCSA in the category of Research Psychologist.
Possessing a PhD in Psychology or progressing with a PhD.
Experience in postgraduate teaching.
