Valor Hospitality Partners, a leading name in the hospitality industry, is seeking a dynamic and talented individual to join our team as a Database Administrator at our head office in Cape Town Waterfront.

Responsibilities:

Database Management:


  • Oversee the efficient functioning of our databases.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
  • Implement and manage data backup and recovery procedures.

IT Systems:


  • Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve ITrelated issues.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.

Report Generation:


  • Generate and analyze reports to provide valuable insights for decisionmaking.
  • Create and maintain customized reports based on business requirements.

AI Software:


  • Work with AI software to enhance data analysis and business processes.
  • Implement and optimize AI algorithms to improve system efficiency.

Cloudbase Uploading:


  • Manage the uploading of documents to cloudbased platforms.
  • Ensure data is securely stored and easily accessible.

General Office Administration:


  • Provide support in various general office administration functions.
  • Collaborate with different departments to streamline administrative processes.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role ideally within travel, tourism or hotels.
  • Strong knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), SQL, and data warehousing.
  • Experience in cloudbased document management systems.
  • Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
