Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as a Team Lead - Operations for their seed company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in agronomy or agriculture, with a focus on farming and the distribution of seed. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various operational activities within the company, ensuring efficient processes and successful outcomes. You will lead a team of dedicated professionals, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes growth, productivity, and innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure individual and team success.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee the farming operations, including crop planning, seed selection, planting, cultivation, and harvesting, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage the distribution of seed, coordinating logistics, inventory management, and delivery schedules to meet customer demands.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as research and development, sales, and marketing, to align operational activities with business goals and objectives.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to seed production, farming techniques, and distribution.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, distributors, and other stakeholders to enhance operational effectiveness and drive business growth.
• Prepare regular reports and presentations on operational performance, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
