    CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

    To orientate and lecture Higher Certificate Business Studies and Management students, provide academic support, deal with administrative work, as well as to participate in different engagement initiatives both internally as well as external of the university.


    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Facilitate teaching and learning of the module FUNDAMENTALS OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
    • Facilitate teaching and learning of the undergraduate modules pertaining to the subject area of MANAGEMENT.
    • Provide academic support pertaining to the listed modules
    • Provide academic administration pertaining to the listed modules
    • Coordinate the relevant functions pertaining to the marketing of the Higher Certificate & Management programme.
    • Capacity to work with the other departmental heads and members of the School of Management Sciences & Faculty

    CORE COMPETENCIES

    • A sound knowledge in the theory and application of Business Management as well as Management principles
    • Ability to facilitate learning at undergraduate levels
    • Ability to work under pressure.
    • Ability to administer modules involving large numbers of students.
    • Ability to identify students requiring academic support and to provide the necessary assistance.

    REQUIREMENTS

    The candidate:

    • Must be in possession of a relevant Honours qualification or Postgraduate Diploma.
    • Preference will be given to candidates in possession of a relevant NQF 9 qualification.
    • The applicant should possess at least one years lecturing experience with tutoring experience being an added advantage.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with lecturing experience with large classroom sizes as well as providing academic support.
    • Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of practical work experience in the relevant industries of business.
