The Maintenance Technician - Paint Equipment is responsible to conduct Corrective - and Preventative Maintenance activities on the company's Paint Application Systems to ensure that they remain in good working condition (fit for purpose) to ensure good quality paint finish and minimize production down time.
Duties & Responsibilities_
Conduct daily Inspections on Paint Application Systems _(including testing where required) and repor_t all non-conformities to supervisor.
Carry out Preventative (Planned) Maintenance tasks on Paint Equipment in accordance to Equipment Manuals and ensure that all system required information is captured e.g., parts required, labor, photos.
Assess and carry out Corrective (Break Down) Maintenance tasks on Paint Equipment in accordance to Equipment Manuals and ensure that all system required information is captured e.g., parts required, labor, photos, description of problem.
Ensure that all equipment is tested and in good working order after all preventative (planned) and corrective maintenance tasks carried out prior to release to Production.
Ensure that equipment / tools used to carry out maintenance equipment is kept in good working condition.
Ensure that spray booth inlet filters (Line 4) are inspected, cleaned and replaced weekly.
Conduct daily checks on hazardous chemical flow bins and remove and replace full flow bins from Production Lines.
Notify supervisor when services provider for the removal of hazardous chemical waste can collect full flow bins.
Ensure that the hazardous chemical waste area is kept clean and organized.
Ensure that all required Safety and Health requirements are adhered to when carrying out daily activities.

Desired Experience & Qualification_
Matric (essential)
Code 8 driver license (essential)
Computer Literacy in MS Office (essential)
Reading and Interpretation of Paint Equipment Manuals.
