The Electrician take responsibility for installing, transferring, and repairing equipment and machinery this will include dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, maintaining and installing equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities_

  • Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and fault finding.
  • Installing equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions
  • Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing of defective parts ensuring safety devices function properly on completion of repairs, modifications and installations
  • Participating in the preventative maintenance routines on all equipment for continuous improvement of all equipment
  • Keeping detailed and accurate maintenance reports, documentation and feedback
  • Cleaning, lubricating and performing other routine maintenance work on equipment
  • Adhering to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
  • Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe work area Performing other related duties as assigned
  • Dismantled & assemble machinery and parts.
  • Execute pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical repairs.
  • Performed planned maintenance on machinery & equipment.
  • Inspect, test and repair MCC circuits & wiring systems and electrical equipment.
  • Use installed programs and perform fault finding on programmable logical control circuits (PLC's).
  • Install and commission machinery and equipment.

Desired Experience & Qualification_

Matric (essential)

Code 8 driver license (essential)

3+ years Experience in an Electrical Position (essential)


Job Types:

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Rosslyn, Pretoria: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:


  • Grade 1
  • Completed Trade Test
  • Electrical

Experience:


  • Indepth knowledge of equipment and machinery
  • Experience using PLC's (beneficial)
  • Knowledge working with electrical and pneumatic tools
  • Working with hand tools
  • Computer literate: MS Excel & MS Word
