Minimum Requirements
- Matric
- Tertiary Hospitality / Accommodation certificate
- Minimum 2 years in the same or similar position
- OPERA experience (advantageous)
Duties and responsibilities
- Manage the Housekeeping department efficiently according to company policies
- Manage housekeepers and supervisors
- Investigate complaints about services and equipment, taking corrective action
- Resolve guest problems and complaints
- Monitor staff efficiency and day to day admin and operational functions
- Responsible for the overall cleanliness of rooms and public areas
- Ensure suitable supplies of cleaning materials available
- Lost and found
- Maintain of departmental records and reports
- Liaise with the dedicated consultants to ensure suitably qualified staff are recruited
- Ensure all recruitment is approved on the man plan
- Ensure operating assets are in working order and accounted for
- Ensure asset list is updated monthly
- Project management captured and submitted to Finance for charge out purposes
