Description
The ESG Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing ESG strategies and action plans.

One will advise clients around systematically reducing their carbon, water and waste intensity of operations with collaboration and coordination with a wide range of stakeholders to understand the client's operations.

One will have a proven track record of developing carbon, water and waste reduction strategies.


Main Outputs:


  • Analyze ESG data and provide critical insights. Track and review ESG performance against predetermined baseline and targets at all business levels. Benchmarking performance against appropriate benchmarks.
  • Identify, evaluate, prioritize and implement ESG initiatives and programs to ensure that the KPIs are achieved on a sustainable basis.
  • Ensure ESG initiatives are progressing in accordance with ESG Strategy and Targets by maintaining the ESG roadmap and project plan driving accountability for achievement of goals and metrics.
  • Analyze specific environmental data and develop projects to drive environmental impact improvements (carbon, water and waste intensities).
  • Identify and track ESG and climate change trends, best practices, frameworks and standards and communicating those relevant to internal and external stakeholders and using the information to realign processes and reports as well as to develop new services and client offering.
  • Benefit tracking of implemented sustainability initiatives.
  • Advise our clients and find solutions for their ESG and climate change related challenges.
  • Undertake ESG materiality assessment.
  • Support the development and implementation of sustainability strategies, action plans and targets to increase sustainability impact in the group in line with the business strategy.
  • Identify and manage key ESG and sustainability trends, regulatory changes, risks and opportunities in line with core business objectives and the maximisation of social and environmental impact.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal, external and regulatory stakeholders in order to keep abreast of the industry trends and to remain competitive.
  • Ongoing internal and external stakeholder engagement.
  • Share knowledge and industry trends with the business entities and other key stakeholders during formal and informal interaction.

Experience:


  • 5 plus years of ESG professional and technical experience, including experience in analysing environmental data to develop environmental impact mitigation and improvement strategies.
  • Experience and knowledge of the main reporting frameworks, standards and initiatives (e.g. CDP, GHG Protocol, GRI, SBTi, plus latest ESG reporting developments)
  • Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG Accounting and Reporting.
  • Carbon management and strategy experience.
  • Experience and knowledge of holistic dimensions of sustainability (social, economic, environmental e.g. UN SDGs) a plus.
  • A passion for making a difference on ESG issues and related issues.

Qualifications/ Certifications
At least a bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or sustainability or engineering. A masters degree will be an added advantage.

Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)

Valid Code 8 Drivers' License and own car
