Are you passionate about buying and looking for a new challenge? We are looking for an ambitious Category Buyer who will actively manage and drive effective local
procurement and continuous optimization to support the strategy of increased contract buying.
What you will do:
Manage day-to-day buying / related planning using new system ("one touch")
Manage and executes buying process for off-contract transactions
Respond to and implements findings from analytical data and reports to drive efficiencies and identifies opportunities for optimization of
contract buying or improved inventory management
Implements agreed best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers
Sources local purchases and ensure the local application of contracts
Implements and monitors continuous improvement practises
Responsible for savings and KPI achievements and its reporting
Supports implementation of strategies to achieve local targets and facilitate meeting targets
What you will need:
Relevant 3-year degree (Supply Chain/Procurement (CIPS), B Com, Engineering, BSc)
2 - 3 years Procurement / Supply chain and Contract management experience
Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Procurement processes and supply chain management
Highly developed interpersonal and relationship building skills
Proactive and confident to make recommendations and decisions
Highly developed communication and presentation skills
Advanced proficiency on the Microsoft Office suite with excellent Excel skills
Must be prepared to travel
