Job Summary:

Determine and maintain costs, adhering to strict budgets and ways of increasing company profits.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Matriculation certificate (or equivalent)
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Finance
  • 35 years' experience in the same/similar role
  • Hotel experience an advantage.
  • Must be well spoken and possess excellent people, communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient computer in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understand and have a good working knowledge of Opera, Micros, F&B shop or similar cost control software
  • Have a thorough knowledge of procurement policies, stock control procedures, recipe costing and stock auditing procedures
  • Able to work shifts

Key Responsibilities:


  • Produce accurate trading summaries for the Financial Controller and Executive Chef
  • Provide analytical review of monthly reports
- profit driven recommendations

  • Reporting: Profit estimate, projected vs actual, purchasing analysis, menu engineering, timely variance reports
  • Oversee daily Food and Beverage operational needs and cost related activities
  • Required to establish relations with suppliers and utilize price negotiation skills

Salary:
R25, R35,000.00 per month
